The slums of Nairobi are home to approximately 2,500,000 people who, despite having very little, show stoicism and optimism in their daily struggle with the environment and the ever present threat of Aids. These pictures were taken on a visit to a church charity project which is home to children orphaned by violence. Many of their stories are sad beyond belief but their courage is a testament to hope over adversity.
